Spanish club comes forward for Rafael Leao

According to news from Spain, the meeting of Rafael Leao’s agent, Jorge Mendes, with Atletico Madrid was quite positive.

After a very difficult start to his career at AC Milan, Rafael Leao is finally beginning to contribute for the squad. Although he has yet to break into the first team of the Rossoneri, his last three goals have been crucial to the European hopes of the Red and Blacks.

So far the Portuguese striker has found the back of the net on five occasions in Serie A, including the match against Juventus. Nevertheless, the future of the 21-year-old remains in doubt.

While Leao seems to finally be showcasing his talent, his agent has been offering his services to different clubs. It was recently revealed that Jorge Mendes had met with Wolverhampton, Juventus and Atletico Madrid. And according to rumors in Spain, Atletico are quite interested in Leao.

TodoFichajes reports that positive talks were held between Jorge Mendes and Atletico Madrid. The Colchoneros are looking for new signings in attack and Leao is a tempting name.

AC Milan spent 25 million last summer to snatch Rafael Leao from Lille. The versatile youngster has often played as centre forward but his favorite position is that of left winger.
